Rochester L'Abri

What is L'Abri?

L'Abri, meaning "the shelter" in French, was founded in Switzerland in 1955 by Dr. Francis Schaeffer and his wife Edith, who opened their home to those seeking answers to honest questions about God and the significance of human life.  L’Abri has grown over the years, and currently has eight residential branches and two study centers spread out across the globe.  The Rochester branch was started in the late seventies when the Schaeffers first came to the Mayo Clinic for medical care.
